Neu-Ulm

» Short profile

The city of Ulm has a population of 120,000 and Neu-Ulm has about 51,000 inhabitants; together the two locations have three universities and offer a pulsating and attractive place to live and study in on the banks of the Danube. The Baden-Württemberg city of Ulm is known for its minster and its steeple which is the highest in the world, and for the old part of the town with its numerous half-timbered houses; in contrast, the young Bavarian town of Neu-Ulm is the site of dynamic growth. Both locations offer a huge range of cultural and leisure opportunities with theatres, cinemas, museums, exhibitions, classical and jazz concerts, traditional and modern festivals.

Neu-Ulm University with its new building is located in the Neu-Ulm of district Wiley; the campus is set in a local park.
