At Ansbach University of Applied Sciences practice-oriented courses and Applied Research and Development belong together. A vast number of projects based on joint ventures with well-known companies in the region, with centres for technology or innovation, and institutes for scientific research characterize the university.

 

Within the National Transfer of Knowledge and Technology, the following projects are of major importance: the Centre of Excellence for TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing) with its very successful Lehrfabrik, a centre for continuing education; the Institute for Creative Marketing marketia; and the participation in the interdisciplinary research project of a virtual 3 D colour laser scanning reconstruction of the medieval sculpture of Saint George.
