Third-party-funds and partner models are part of the success the university has. Alone since 2003, third-party-funds in the amount of € 7,1 million were acquired from application-oriented projects connected with the economy. The university sees itself as an enterprise, offers services for its university region and beyond and experiences the acceptance of the economy. With these third-party-projects, sponsoring and other cooperations 21 additional members of the staff could be financed at our university.

 

Plus, co-operations with companies have led to the implementation of projects such as "Partner Circle", in which 22 of the most renowned regional companies have joined together, forming a close network with the university. Partners from industry have also helped to employ professors paid by donations, for example, in logistics or international business management.

 

In addition to that, there are further initiatives to realise a transfer of knowledge between university and industry. Exclusive examples are research projects, an annual business forum, workshops in the faculties, summer schools, or institutes for retail management, statistics, energy technology and automation technology.
