Amberg-Weiden University of Applied Sciences was opened in 1995.12 Bachelor programmes, one Diploma and 5 Master courses form the profile of the university in Amberg and Weiden. There are offers of study which are unique nationwide such as Patent Engineering. Other innovative programmes like Applied Computer Sciences, Media Technology, Renewable Energies, Retail and Service Management, European Business and Language Studies or Medicine Technology complete the profile.

 

The both cities Amberg and Weiden - each with about 45.000 inhabitants - offer a high standard of living, combined with affordable prices. The four faculties of the university have an excellent quality of teaching, top positions in nationwide rankings, a very good acceptance of the at times 1.900 graduates in the labour market, and an international orientation with 46 partner universities in 26 countries worldwide due to an increased availability of a globalized job market.
